Rita Baragona has been teaching art and has chaired the department at the Blair Academy in New Jersey for over 20 years. She paints every day and finds inspiration for her flower paintings from her own garden Rita was born in New York . She received a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 1967, and attended the New York Studio School from 1968 to 1970. Since 1979 she has had many one-person exhibitions in galleries in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. She has had numerous residencies in the New York metropolitan area. Rita has been reviewed by the New York TImes, Art in America, Art and Antiques and the New Republic.
